Jazz Fest Wednesday...Can I Clone Myself??

Can I clone myself??  There's sooo much going on today!! 

The music continues all day long at the Louisiana Music Factory (201 Decatur) for their annual in-store Jazz Fest concerts...here's the line-up for today!!  Click on the link above for the complete Fest line-up:

And there's more music!!  Starting up at 4:00 pm this afternoon it's the 2nd Annual Daze Between Festival at the Rusty Nail (1100 Constance) to benefit The New Orleans Musicians Clinic and the Gulf Restoration Network...Today's musical theme is DAY OF THE DEAD - A Musical Tribute to the Grateful Dead featuring:
  • Papa Mali and Friends
  • Honey Island Swamp Trio
  • The Iko Allstars featuring Billy Iuso, Reggie Scanlon (from the Radiators), CR Gruver and Mike Foo (from Gravity A)
  • Drums and Space featuring Steve Molitz, Colonel Bruce Hampton (retired) Mike Foo, and special guests
  • Counterclarkwise featuring Josh Clark and Dave Brogan (from Tea Leaf Green) Steve Molitz (Particle, Phil Lesh) and Steve Adams (ALO)
Are you looking for an amazing book for Jazz Fest?? (of course you are!!) Jay Mazza will be hosting a book signing and party for his new release, "I Got the Fish in the Head"...It's everything you ever wanted to know about one of New Orleans iconic bands - "The Radiators"!!  The signing is at Maple Street Book Shop today from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.   And there's gonna be music with Chris Mule from the Honey Island Swamp Band, Phil DeGruy, Stephen Smith and others!!!  It's gonna be a party!

As most of you know...today's the day to head on down to Lafayette Square for Wednesday at the Square....there will be crafts, food and libations....and music by Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Review and MarciaBall things get kickin' this evening at 5:00 pm - and check out the entire line-up so you can make your plans.

Hang out in Mid-City where there's yummy food and great music at Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal) there's an early show at 6:00 pm with Tom McDermott & Meschiya Lake, and stay on for the Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sound Now for Yes Music People at 10:00 pm...don't forget to come hungry for the amazing food from Taceaux Loceaux!  Click on the Chickie's link above to purchase tickets in advance, or bring cash at the door!

Heading over to Frenchmen Street?  Start off your evening with the early show over at dba (618 Frenchmen)....with the By & By String Band at 5:00 pm, The Iguanas at 7:00 pm....and then stay on for Walter "Wolfman" Washington & The Roadmasters at 10:00 pm (as always) it's gonna be a fun one!!

Another great evening full of music at the Spotted Cat with Brett Richardson at 4:00 p.m., Swing Dance Lessons at 5:00 pm, The Orleans 6 at 6:00 p.m., and to top off the night St. Louis Slim & The Frenchmen St. Jug Band at 10:00 p.m.!

Looking for some dinner and then some music for dessert?  Rock 'N Bowl (3016 S. Carrollton) can help you out!  Get an entree' over at Ye Olde College Inn and then get a half price ticket to the show right next door at Rock N' Bowl....Tonight they've got Kermit Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers to get you swingin' at 8:30 pm!!
