Go Veggies - Go Green Tonight!

Happy Tuesday Everybody!!

You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!!!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 to 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even get some lunch! Chef Mark Quitney of styley downtown restaurant 5 Fifty 5 (named for its address on Canal Street) heads Uptown to dish out summer lobster gazpacho, muffalettas, chocolate hermit bars and blondie brownies .....yummy!!

Go green tonight at Global Green USA 's Build It Back Green.....A Green-It-Yourself Workshop: Cooling Your Home Efficiently the seminar is at the Green Building Resource Center (841 Carondelet) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  The mercury's rising, but your bills don't have to! Come to this free workshop to learn about radiant barrier, solar shades, HVAC maintenance, and other ways to keep your home cool while saving money.  Eric Guillory of Taylor & Tyler, Inc and Andrew Spaulding of Global Green will walk you through easy do-it-yourself measures, as well as larger projects that will help your house manage the summer heat.  Light refreshments generously donated by Mona's Café....This event is FREE and open to the public.  For more information click on the link above! 

Good Stuff Tonight!

It's gonna be a great evening to hang out at the The Columns (3811 St. Charles Ave.)...Have a cocktail and listen to the amazing John Rankin at 8:00 pm...it's a lovely night for porch sippin'!

There's a triple header over at the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) starting up at 4:00 pm with Brett Richardson, then stay on for Smokin' Time Jazz Club at 6:00 pm, and finish off the night with Meschiya Lake & The Little Big Horns at 10:00 pm!!

You need to go by the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street for the early show.  Cluck! Nite featuring Three Piece Spicy + Creole Cookin' (with some FREE food)...and make sure you stay up late for the REBIRTH Brass Band!!
