Discover Louisiana's Most Endangered Landmarks - Tonite!

Another lovely Thursday (hey, it might even rain) and lots of fun going on in the City!

Thursday Events

Don't miss out on the weekly wine tasting at Cork and Bottle (3700 Orleans ) about 5:00 pm in Mid-City and the tasting is free - you can try out these six yummy wines: 2009- Lenda- Albarino, 2010 - Taft Street- Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc, 2010 - Govone- Moscato D'Asti, and a 2007 - Taft STreet - Russian River Valley Pinot Noir!!  And be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more! 

Need some culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art - better known as Ogden after Hours.  The concert starts up at 6:00 pm. with Matt Lemmler, New Orleans jazz pianist, vocalist, composer, arranger, recording artist and producer!  So come on down for some music, culture, fun and cocktails....don't miss it!!  (Members get in free!)

Go hang out at City Park this evening for The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series with entertainment by Seva Venet!! The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out..so....it's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.

Tonight the Louisiana Landmarks Society and the New Orleans' Nine Selection Committee invite you to a reception for the 2011 New Orleans' Nine Most Endangered Sites from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Pitot House (1440 Moss St.)  Modeled on the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Most Endangered program, Louisiana Landmarks implemented our own list of the most endangered historic resources in New Orleans in 2005.  This event is free and open to the public!

Tonight's Music

There's lots of good stuff on Frenchment Street with another great evening full of music at the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) with Brett Richardson at 4:00 p.m., Zazzou City at 6:00 p.m., and to top off the night with The New Orleans Moonshiners at 10:00 p.m.!


Theres's fun night waiting for you over at dba (618 Frenchmen) with the Colin Lake Trio at 10:00 pm for a low low cover of only $5 and be sure to check out their yummy beer selections!!

While on Frenchmen move on down to the Three Muses (536 Frenchmen) for the Ben Polcer Group at 7:30 pm - the music will get you movin' on into the weekend and they got yummy food too!
