Five Fun Things to do in NOLA this Weekend!

Come out tonight for Good Spirits NOLA at The Other Bar (5039 Freret St.) from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. and help support Women with a Vision, Inc.   **Enjoy unlimited spirits and cocktails, with 100% of proceeds benefiting a different good cause or non-profit organization of New Orleans each month. Admission includes open bar, plus light refreshments (mini chocolate cake pops from Pure Cake) and a silent auction. $20 per person. Presented by DJ Soul Sister and The Other Bar, and hosted by Soul Sister. Give back. Bottoms up. (And best of all, free Skee-ball!)

Tonight come celebrate The Lunar Lagniappe Party to Benefit  Eden House! The Krewe De Lune is hosting its second annual fundraiser at The Rusty Nail (1100 Constance) from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Their goal is to raise $5,000 to benefit Eden House, which is a two-year residential program for women who have been commercially and sexually exploited. Join in for live music by Les Autres, DJ Ann Heatwave: New Orleans, a performance by The Star-Steppin' Cosmonaughties, and raffle prizes. Get there early for some complimentary Moon Shooters, our specialty mixed shots. It's gonna be Lunetastic y'all!

A free concert series benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans & Acadiana....Every WEDNESDAY, September 11 - October 30 from 5:00 pm to  7:30 pm at LAFAYETTE SQUARE!!

In addition to a free, weekly concert, concert-goers will enjoy food and drinks for purchase (no outside food or drinks, please) from local favorites. An artists' village will feature artwork and crafts from regional artists and designers, all available for purchase.

It's a drive to help the victims of the Mother's Day Shootings. Enjoy music from David and Roselyn, The Honey Pots and Carl LeBlanc.  The Original Big 7 Social Aid & Pleasure Club, which held the second line near where the shootings took place, will be in attendance...The Spotted Cat, d.b.a. and Snug Harbor are assisting with the event, and clubs along Frenchmen Street will be open to give donors a place to wait out of the sun. Donors are particularly needed from 6-9 p.m. If you want to donate blood, please email office@nomaf.org - Come on out for a great cause!!

It's a Grand Opening Celebration!!! The newest Dat Dog location at 3336 Magazine Street will hold a grand opening featuring complimentary Dat Dog samples and select draft beer on the house!! Be there for the ribbon cutting with City Council woman, Latoya Cantrell at 5:45 p.m! The second location of the beloved hot dog emporium houses an outdoor beer garden and seated patio, and offers the same artisan hot dogs, low prices and Laissez les bons temps rouler attitude as the original Freret Street hotspot.
