Happy Wednesday with Dat Dogs, Wednesday at the Square, Harrison Avenue Market and More!

Celebrate the hot dog!

It's a Grand Opening Celebration!!! The newest Dat Dog location at 3336 Magazine Street will hold a grand opening featuring complimentary Dat Dog samples and select draft beer on the house!! Be there for the ribbon cutting with City Council woman, Latoya Cantrell at 5:45 p.m! The second location of the beloved hot dog emporium houses an outdoor beer garden and seated patio, and offers the same artisan hot dogs, low prices and Laissez les bons temps rouler attitude as the original Freret Street hotspot. The Magazine St. location is open Sunday -Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Come eat a dog!

Concert Time!

Wednesday at the Square is rolling along - So come on down to Lafayette Square for another stellar line-up for this year's concert series....there will be crafts, food and libations....The Mother Hips + Jon Roniger get things movin' this evening at 5:00 pm - and check out the entire line-up so you can make your plans.

Market Fun!

Head on over to Lakeview and the Harrison Avenue Marketplace presented by Beacon of Hope tonight from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the parking lot of Lakeview Grocery at 801 Harrison Avenue.  You'll enjoy music by Omega 3 and there will be 75 arts, crafts and food vendors!  Grace Evangelical Church will be there with great activities for the little ones. You can enjoy the famous char-grilled oysters from Drago's or Baked Alaska from Antoine's. Stop by the Beacon Beverage booth to enjoy a refreshing libation from an array of thirst quenchers. Try the Velvet Cactus Margarita-frozen or on the rocks!

If you're all revved up from the Square Fun...check this out...

Have fun in Mid-City when you head on over to Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal) for  for Meschiya Lake & Tom McDermott at 7:00, and be sure to stay on for Cary Hudson at 9:30 pm!!! And get your sammich early - kitchen closes about 9 tonight...

And there's more fun in Mid-City over at the Banks Street Bar (4401 Banks)! Come on out for some Major Bacon and some FREE BLTs - tonight at 10:00 pm...you can never get enough of the bacon and no cover!!

Looking for some dinner and then some music for dessert?  Rock 'N Bowl (3016 S. Carrollton) can help you out!  Get an entree' over at Ye Olde College Inn and then get a half price ticket to the show right next door at Rock N' Bowl....Dance the night away with Swing-A-Roux at 8:30 pm!!

Heading over to Frenchmen Street?  Lots of places with no cover, but don't forget to tip the talent!!

There's great music this evening on Frenchmen Street tonight at d.b.a.  (618 Frenchmen) - with an early and a late show.  Come check out The Tin Men at 7:00 pm with no cover - And then it's Walter "Wolfman" Washington and the Roadmasters at 10:00 pm - cover's only $5.00 and you know the Wolfman's worth it!

The Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) has an afternoon and evening filled with music!!  Ben Polcer at 4:00, The Orleans 6 at 6:00 pm and top off the night with St. Louis Jim & The Frenchmen St. Jug Band!
