A Tuesday with Fresh Food, Music Factory, La Femme et la Musique and More!

Good morning everybody and happy Tuesday - the Jazz Fest weekday fun continues on!!

Farmer's Market!

You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for the freshest veggies, fruits and seafood. This month the Market welcomes Cafe' Hope to the GPS tent for April! They have outdone themselves with this Tuesday’s menu! Can't wait to try the margherita soup with fresh mozzarella & basil, slow roasted pork over sautéed kale & swiss chard w/ strawberries, grilled lemongrass tofu & julienned vegetable salad with chili-lime vinaigrette or strawberry shortcake with whipped cream.....yum!!!

More Good Music Tonight!

And there's a great evening on the Avenue....Cause it's another lovely southern night for porch sitting and music over at the The Columns (3811 St. Charles Ave.)...Have a fancy cocktail and listen to the guitar stylings of John Rankin and Jesse Boyd (upright bass)!  

Head on over to Mid-City and to Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal)! Starting up at 4:00 pm  Dayna Kurtz is curating a series of Songwriter Circles with some of the best songwriters around. This afternoon she'll be joined by Paul Cebar and Tommy Malone, and be sure to stay on for the amazing trio of Anders Osborne, John Fohl,  and Johnny Sansone at 8:00 pm!! Come hungry for a sammich they are some good!!

Make sure to come by the Hi-Ho Lounge (2239 St. Claude) for Chic Gamine at 10:00 pm as they headline La Femme et la Musique, a three-band extravaganza tonight! The event will feature two high-energy New Orleans bands  - the Honey Pots and the Local Skank. Don't miss out on seeing these amazing bands!!
