tonight at the La Belle Galerie (309 Chartres Street)from 3:00 'til 7:00 pm La Belle Galerie is hosting its annual Jazz Fest Kickoff block party. The jazzy and spirited artwork of New Orleans artist, Dr. Bob will be featured this year. Don't forget your Jazz Fest posters because we'll have those available as well. Come out for the art, and the festivities. Hope to see

Swing in the Oaks - The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual FREE concert in New Orleans City Park on the Goldring-Woldenberg Great Lawn at 6:30 pm. The concert features orchestra favorites. Bring your own chairs, picnics, drinks, etc. for an enchanted evening under the oaks in the magnificent New Orleans City Park! LPO music director Carlos Miguel Prieto will lead the orchestra and the concert will feature the Marine Corps Band of New Orleans.

Kick off Jazz Fest in style! Threadhead Records invites you to attend the Annual Threadhead Thursday at City Park tonight from 6 pm – 11 pm at the Robert B Haskel Outdoor Garden Stage in the New Orleans Botanical Garden at City Park. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and join us and some of our multi-talented THR artists for a magical night under the stars including New Birth Brass Band, Alex McMurray, Paul Sanchez & The Rolling Road Show, and the Creole String Bean!! Free and open to the public. Food and drink available for purchase.

Jazz in the Park Free Concert Series continues this evening in Armstrong Park! PUfAP is proud to present the third season of Jazz in the Park, inside of the historic Louis Armstrong Park. The events are FREE, begins today and runs from 5:00 to 8:00 pm through June 13th featuring a Marketplace that provides an opportunity to purchase fresh food, produce and craft market available to the public from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. The Live at Lafreniere Park Concert Series continues tonight at the Park Pavilion with 90 Degrees West at 6:00 pm. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, etc. and enjoy an evening of live music in the Park and best of all it is FREE!!

Need a little art, culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art (925 Camp St.) - better known as Ogden after Hours. Tonight the Ogden presents One A-Chord. Betty Winn and One A-Chord will get you out of your seat and moving to their soulful and traditional gospel voices. Participants of this dynamic choir come from various churches and represent the finest gospel artists in New Orleans.  Be sure to head on over to the bar for this month's signature drink - The Spring Fling - *Remember with your Ogden membership all of these excellent concerts are FREE!!!
