You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for the freshest veggies, fruits and seafood.This month the Market is double happy to welcome La Hillel's Kitchen once again for the month of February. Come enjoy the (hopefully) warmer weather and a healthy lunch at Tuesday market. Your choices include falafel in pita with israeli salad, a cup of roasted tomato soup with quinoa, a slice of banana bread, or some flavorful hot chai tea.

Top off the evening over at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street...with the REBIRTH Brass Band - they come on around 10:30ish - there's a cover, but you'll be glad you paid and stayed up late!!

They'll have 16 beers on tap, including eight specialty beers that you can only get at the brewery (hint: Girl Stout Cookie, rum barrel aged Saison, Peach Blonde, etc). They'll be music from Magnitude at 6:00 pm and the Brass-a-holics 9:00 pm and come hungry for the food trucks with La Cocinita and Rue Chow.

Wear your best Speakeasy digs, and enjoy wine, appetizers and entertainment from New Orleans' burlesque sensation, Roxie Le Rouge!

Jazz in the Park Free Concert Series kicks off this evening in Armstrong Park! PUfAP is proud to present the 2013 second season of Jazz in the Park, inside of the historic Louis Armstrong Park. The events are FREE, with an art market from Noon to 8:00 p.m., cool Jazz from Noon to 3:00 p.m., Second Line begins at 4:00 p.m., and the afternoon music kicks off at 5:30 pm - Check out the great line-up of music below!

Gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out...$10 for adults.



Need a little art, culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art (925 Camp St.) - better known as Ogden after Hours. Tonight the Ogden presents Robin Barnes. Barnes’s music is inspired by several genres, including jazz, soul, blues, and even a little reggae. Celebrate National Hot Dog Day with a Dat Dog Dinner, Fresh Food and Lovely Music!

Dat Dog Magazine Street (3336 Magazine) will be partnering up for the first time with New Belgium on a beer dinner tonight - Haute Dogs and Cold Beers at 7:30 p.m.! This delicious dining experience includes 6 courses paired with 6 New Belgium beers, including favorites such as the Sea Dog and Duck Dog. While you're enjoying dinner you'll be entertained by music from David Fera. The cost is only $30 in advance ($35 at the door) and tickets can be purchased at the Magazine Street location. Art and Puppets!

The Contemporary Arts Center (900 Camp St.) presents “ANTHROPOMORPHIZER !!” an exhibition by Miss Pussycat, and “Who is Pulling the Strings?”, an exhibition by The Mudlark Puppeteers, Scary Toesies, Calliope Puppets, and The Red String Wayang Theater. The opening reception for both exhibitions is tonight from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and will feature DJ sets by Quintron and Rotten Milk.
*For “ANTHROPOMORPHIZER !!” Miss Pussycat will bring her sewing machine, buckets of neoprene, pipe cleaners, and fun fur to set up a working studio on display as she turns raw materials into puppets with special powers that fill the window and talk to viewers. This exhibition will remain on view until September 22.
