Celebrate National Hot Dog Day with a Dat Dog Dinner, Fresh Food and Lovely Music!

Happy Tuesday and National Hot Dog Day!

Dat Dog Magazine Street (3336 Magazine) will be partnering up for the first time with New Belgium on a beer dinner tonight - Haute Dogs and Cold Beers at 7:30 p.m.! This delicious dining experience includes 6 courses paired with 6 New Belgium beers, including favorites such as the Sea Dog and Duck Dog. While you're enjoying dinner you'll be entertained by music from David Fera. The cost is only $30 in advance ($35 at the door) and tickets can be purchased at the Magazine Street location. And if you just want to eat your own creation all menu items also will be offered as an a la carte, full-size pairing the night of the event for a discounted price.

Farmer's Market and Fresh Food!
You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for the freshest veggies, fruits and seafood.This month the Market welcomes Red Gravy to the Green Plate Special. This week they keeps the flavor coming with your choice of zucchini with creole cream cheese, and mushrooms, sausage and pepper sliders, assorted bruschettas and a Boston cream pie. Yum!

Good Music Tonight!

The Roots of American Music series presents the lovely and talented Margie Perez and Friends tonight from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Ellis Marsalis Center For Music (1901 Bartholomew Street in the Musicians' Village). There's a great musical evening on the Avenue at the The Columns (3811 St. Charles Ave.) at 8:00 p.m. tonight!  Have a fancy cocktail and listen to guitar man - John Fohl!

Get your self to Mid-City and to Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal St.) for some funkified New Orleans tunes from Jon Cleary tonight at 8:00 p.m.!

There's some fun on Frenchmen over at d.b.a. (618 Frenchmen) with the The Treme Brass Band at 10:00 pm - there's a $5 cover for the show - but you know you don't want to miss it!

Right down the street the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) has a triple header with no cover - Andy Forest at 4:00 pm, Meschiya Lake & The Little Big Horns at 6:00 pm, and top off the evening with the Davis Rogan Band at 10:00 pm!

Top off the evewing over at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street...with the REBIRTH Brass Band - they come on around 10:30ish - there's a cover, but you'll be glad you paid and stayed up late!!
