Wine Tasting Fun!

Vino!
It's the weekly wine tasting over at Pearl Wine Company (Orleans at Moss St.) - from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  Get an extremely rare opportunity to taste Quintessa before you buy. Quintessa is a gorgeous Napa red that is consistently praised by wine lovers around the world. During the tasting NOLA Smokehouse serving some delicious smoked pork and gumbo.

And you can double your wine tasting fun! Check out Swirl located on Ponce de Leon right off Esplanade and enjoy a FREE wine tasting at 6:00 pm. Beth Kehn will continue to follow us on our journey through Italy with 4 great wines accompanied by Chef Walter's Italian themed small plates!

If you're Uptown head on over to Martin's Wine Cellar (3500 Magazine)....They'll be serving up some lovely wines from 4:30 to 6:30 pm!

Shopping Fun!

It's the Red, White and Book Sale this weekend at 3728 Laurel St.  Check out -  *Hot Red-Run Dresses, *Cool Summer Whites, *Fab Vintage Finds, and *Classic Lit from the Greeks to the Beats

Party with a Purpose!

Soul Sister, Funk Baby, and Gasa Gasa present "It's a Love Thing" a benefit love-fest for Deborah Cotton from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at Gasa Gasa (4920 Freret St.) - DJ Soul Sister's debut right on party at Gasa Gasa + Complimentary eats by Boucherie Chef Nathanial Zimet, a Food Network 'Chopped' Champion + "A Love Thing"-themed live painting by Reuben Cheatem + art show curated by Funk Baby and featuring 10+ local artists. + Raffles and Silent Auctions
Admission: $10, with 100% of admission and raffle proceeds to be donated to the Fund for Deborah Cotton, helping her medical and recovery expenses incurred as a victim of the Mother's Day second line mass shooting. 30% of the art sales will be donated to the Fund, courtesy of Funk Baby.

Head on over to Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal) in the heart of Mid-City for an amazing show with Paul Sanchez and Jim McCormick - their swapping songs at 8:00 pm! Don't miss it - and be sure to come hungry for a sammich!

Tipitina's Foundation presents FREE Fridays are back with another great show at Tips (501 Napoleon Ave.) - Tonight it's Stooges Brass Band + Ricky B - Admission is FREE of course!

Saturday!

Christmas in July!  It's time for Rudolph's Revenge - beginning at Barcadia on Tchoupitoulas at 11 a.m. 'til around 2 a.m. The Christmas in July event features free reindeer ears, drink specials, brunch deals, free play on most games, live music by The Free Drinks and Running of the Santas promos. There will also be free barbecue while supplies last and promos from Grand Marnier and Abita. The after party at Generations Hall (310 Andrew Higgins Drive) starts at 10 p.m. and is free for those donning reindeer ears.

Saturday is also Dirty Coast Fest at the Rusty Nail (1100 Constance) from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Enjoy live music by Sweet Crude plus Alexis and the Samurai, refreshments by La Cocinita, Hansen's Sno-Blitz and more - admission is free!

Sunday!

Hats off to Honey - A Jolly Jam! Come down to Cafe' Instanbul (2372 St. Claude) Sunday at 6:00 p.m. and celebrate the life of Pat's mother - Olive "Honey" LeRouge! This fun fundraiser will help defray the costs of Honey's funeral and will have a yummy potluck, live music, a silent auction and cash bar. Suggested donation is $20 - don't miss out on this celebration of Honey's life and make sure to where your best  hat!
