It's Another Fresh Veggie Tuesday Along With Some Fresh Music in NOLA!

Happy Tuesday!

Farmer's Market and Fresh Food!
You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for the freshest veggies, fruits and seafood. This month the Market welcomes La Hillel's Kitchen to the Green Plate Special. This week they're menu includes a falafel in pita with Israeli salad; roasted tomato soup with quinoa; or an organic brown rice bowl with tofu curry or chicken and veggies. Finish up (or start your day!) with tasty banana bread and a cup of hot chai tea.

Eat local and find more fresh veggies at the Hollygrove Market.   You can go by their location at 8301 Olive Street Monday  thru Friday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sundays 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  They also have home delivery if you can't make it to the Market - Click here to find out how - http://www.hollygrovemarket.com/content/5669

Good Music Tonight!

It's going to be a beautiful night on the Avenue at The Columns Hotel (3811 St. Charles Ave.) - Grab a cocktail and enjoy the sounds of New Classic Jazz Trio featuring John Rankin, Tom Sancton, and Clarence Johnson III at 8:00 pm

Get your self to Mid-City and to Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal St.) for piano master Jon Cleary at 8:00 p.m., and be sure to stay on for The Yakiniku All-Stars featuring June Yamagishi at 10:00 pm - it's going to be a great double header of music at Chickie's!

Right down the street the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) has a triple header with no cover - Andy Forest at 4:00 pm, Meschiya Lake & The Little Big Horns at 6:00 pm, and top off the evening with the Smokin' Time Jazz Club at 10:00 pm!

There's more fun on Frenchmen over at d.b.a. (618 Frenchmen) with the The Treme Brass Band at 10:00 pm - there's a $5 cover for the show - but you know you don't want to miss it!

Top off the evening over at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street...with the REBIRTH Brass Band - they come on around 10:30ish - there's a cover, but you'll be glad you paid and stayed up late!!
