Wednesday w/Concerts, a Market, Opera & Mucho Music!

Wednesdays on the Point concert series keeps on kickin' today in Algiers and runs through July 25th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and of course, admission is FREE...Tonight head to the Algiers Ferry Dock (200Morgan St.) for Latin Night with Roberto Moreira & Son Como Son with Ritmo Calypso - remember you can take the ferry over for free - it's a beautiful ride across the river!  Click the above link for complete concert series info!

Head on over to Lakeview and the Harrison Avenue Marketplace presented by Beacon of Hope tonight from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the parking lot of Lakeview Grocery at 801 Harrison Avenue.  You'll enjoy music by Eudora Evans and Deep Soul and come shop and support the local artists who can help you find that perfect something for you and your Dad (don't forget Father's Day is Sunday!) There will be 75 arts, crafts and food vendors along with the Bayou Gaming Truck hosted by St. Paul's. You can enjoy the famous char-grilled oysters from Drago's or Baked Alaska from Antoine's. Stop by the Beacon Beverage booth to enjoy a refreshing libation from an array of thirst quenchers. Try the new Velvet Cactus Margarita-frozen or on the rocks! It's going to a fun evening!

The Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) has an afternoon and evening filled with music!!  Ben Polcer at 4:00, The Orleans 6 at 6:00 pm and top off the night with St. Louis Slim and The Frenchmen St. Jug Band!
