Monday, Monday - Support Our Paper!

Happy Monday!

Special Event!

TIMES PICAYUNE READERS - RALLY TO SAVE PAPER.   New Orleanians are showing their angst over a plan to reduce their daily newspaper to a three-day a week publishing schedule by holding a protest today at 4 p.m. at Rock' N Bowl (3000 S.Carrollton Avenue). The purpose of the protest is to send a message to the Newhouse owners, especially Steven Newhouse of Advance.net, that the resurgent city needs a daily paper. Today is the day many Times Picayune employees will find out if they are invited to stay on as workers. The event is a tailgate. Individuals are invited to the parking lotof the local Rock N Bowl, at 4 p.m. until sunset. Individuals are invited to bring their paper and read the news.  Our message is clear: Publish Every Day or Sell the Paper AND LET SOMEONE ELSE DO IT!?

Come show your support for our beloved newspaper and enjoy entertainment from Armand St. Martin, The Iguanas, Alex McMurray, DJ Soul Sister and suprise guests - It's time to rally!!   For more information: Anne Rolfes, 504.452.4909 or savethepicayune@gmail.com
