Throw Me Something Local: Awards Banquet & Art Show - By Bywater Art Lofts (3725 Dauphine St.) tonight from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The Carnival season explodes with a February art show! I Heart Louisiana, an organization dedicated to preserving the ecological and economic health of Louisiana's people, culture, and wildlife, will be this month's host. It provides low-priced, high quality & locally produced parade products that strengthen the community by creating jobs and preserving cultural heritage. Artists will have on display Mardi Gras-themed masks, costumes, paintings, sculptures, and parade throws (and that's just the tip of the iceberg!).
In addition to the exhibition, the show will award prizes for the winners of the "Throw Me Something Local Mardi Gras Throw-Making Contest" (details for the contest can be found at:

Food will be provided by Hollygrove Farm and Holly Tamale.

Throw Me Something Local: Awards Banquet & Art Show - By Bywater Art Lofts (3725 Dauphine St.) tonight from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The Carnival season explodes with a February art show! I Heart Louisiana, an organization dedicated to preserving the ecological and economic health of Louisiana's people, culture, and wildlife, will be this month's host. It provides low-priced, high quality & locally produced parade products that strengthen the community by creating jobs and preserving cultural heritage. Artists will have on display Mardi Gras-themed masks, costumes, paintings, sculptures, and parade throws (and that's just the tip of the iceberg!).
In addition to the exhibition, the show will award prizes for the winners of the "Throw Me Something Local Mardi Gras Throw-Making Contest" (details for the contest can be found at:

Food will be provided by Hollygrove Farm and Holly Tamale.

Happy Monday - Let's see what's going on tonight!
Special Event - Horses, Hops and Cops!
Come meet the Budweiser Clydesdales tonight!! All proceeds will benefit the N.O.P.D. Mounted Division. The event will take place at the N.O.P.D. Mounted Division’s Stables located at Harrison Avenue and Marconi Drive in City Park. Admission is FREE. The Budweiser Clydesdales will be present for photos and other activities. Additionally, attendees can participate in a raffle to win a ride on the Budweiser wagon pulled by the Clydesdales during the Argus parade.
Food from Drago’s and Zatarain’s will be available for purchase at $5 per serving, along with beverages provided by Budweiser and Coke. Live music will be provided by The Yat Pack and The Hangovers. Don't miss these beautiful horses!!

A Monday with Christmas Cheer and Some Great Music!
Good Morning Everybody - Yesterday was pretty rough, but there's lots of good things going on around town to cheer you up!

Tonight is the Ceremonial Lighting of The Roosevelt's Waldorf Wonderland Lobby from 5:45 pm until 7:00 pm! To kick off the holiday season, The Roosevelt New Orleans will flip the switch to light the Waldorf Wonderland Lobby. The hotel's grand lobby will be transformed into a canopy of white birch branches and tens of thousands of twinkling lights. Tonight's event will feature live entertainment with St. Michael's Bell Choir - it's going to be a magical Christmas filled evening!

Tonight is the Ceremonial Lighting of The Roosevelt's Waldorf Wonderland Lobby from 5:45 pm until 7:00 pm! To kick off the holiday season, The Roosevelt New Orleans will flip the switch to light the Waldorf Wonderland Lobby. The hotel's grand lobby will be transformed into a canopy of white birch branches and tens of thousands of twinkling lights. When his orchestra disbands, Daigo Kobayashi moves back to his hometown and takes a job preparing corpses for burial. Too embarrassed to admit his new career to his family, Daigo keeps his profession a secret, until he’s faced with the death of someone close to him. Academy Award Winner for Best Foreign Film.
