Thursday - Here's the Low Down

Good Morning All,

To start off the day - the Harrah's buffet was quite yummy (the food on Wednesday is much better than the Sunday brunch) my favorite thing was the boiled shrimp - they were gigantic...but enough about that.....here's some excellent free stuff going on today!

Highly recommended:

Thurdays is
Ogden After Hours. Every Thursday the Ogden Museum invites a musician to perform and tell their own unique story. The musicians that are selected - are songwriters from around the country and Louisiana legends. Today the Louisiana legend and songwriter is Zachary Richard! Should be an amazing time. There is a $10 cover to go to the performance, but if you join the museum for the year (membership is very reasonable - $50 for individual and $75 for dual/family) you get a concert almost every Thursday (except holidays) plus other exciting events like art openings, movie premieres and more!

Free events!

Harrison Avenue Marketplace - 4:30 to 8:30 on the 800 block of Harrison Avenue in Lakeview.
There will be delicious food, art and music by the Creole String Beans
!

1st Birthday Party for Le Boulevard Marketplace - 6:00 to 9:00 at 5201 Canal Blvd. - Check out the art, collectibles and beautiful antiques - refreshments will be served :)

The Mid-City Farmer's Market - 3:00 to 7:00 at Orleans Avenue and Bayou St. John. You can also stop by
Cork and Bottle for a FREE wine tasting from 5:00 to 7:00 fun!!

Cool Show!

If you've never heard Ernie Vincent and the Top Notes you don't know what you're missing. Ernie and his band are playing at the
Mother-in-Law Lounge (1500 N. Claiborne) at 7:00 tonite. Go check it out it promises to be one rockin' night!

That's all for now - stay tuned for more cool stuff tomorrow!
