It's Back to the Point - Tonite!

Good Morning Everybody,

Just cause Wednesdays at the Square is over doesn't mean the music is going to stop...No way!

Starting today the Wednesdays on the Point concert series begins in Algiers and runs through August 10th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and of course, admission is FREE...Tonight head to the Algiers Ferry Dock (200Morgan St.) for Sasha Masakowski and Glen David Andrews - remember you can take the ferry over for free - it's a beautiful ride across the river!  Click the above link for complete concert series info!

I made a boo boo yesterday...sorry, about that. THIS evening at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art (925 Camp St.) - Collecting 101: A Conversation with Collectors: Sydney Besthoff, Jill Dupre, Josh Mayer and Will Erickson.  How does one become an art collector?  This panel will give a first-hand account how these four collectors started, and how their collections grew and changed (and are still changing).  Questions will address the basics of collecting—such as dealing with a gallery or artist, and funding—to the more personal, such as why they collect what they do. Moderator is Jan Katz, Curator for the Museum’s Center for Southern Craft and Design...Free to Museum members; $10 general admission. or information or to reserve your spot, call 504.539.9650.
