A Yummy way to spend your week!  The Louisiana Restaurant Association Greater New Orleans Chapter is proud to unveil the inaugural We Live to Eat: Louisiana Seafood Restaurant Week, celebrating the art and appreciation of dining in New Orleans. During the week of September 12-18, 2011, more than thirty local restaurants will offer two-course lunches for $20 and three-course dinners for $35. Thursday Events

Don't miss out on the weekly wine tasting at Cork and Bottle (3700 Orleans ) about 5:00 pm in Mid-City and the tasting is free with some great choices to taste and purchase Houchart Rose, Casteggio Pinot Grigo, Donatiello Pinot Noir, Manos Negras Malbec, La Madrid Single Vineyard Malbec, La Madrid Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, Verum Chardonnay and Tapiz Malbec. You can also stop at Clever (right next door) for their "tasting special" - $1 off your first cocktail after attending the free wine tasting and hang out and watch the Tigers kick some Mississippi butt! And be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more! 

Need a little more art, culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art (925 Camp St.) - better known as Ogden after Hours.  The concert starts up at 6:00 pm with John Sinclair author, poet and activist.  It's also Ogden Nightcap time again at the d.o.c.s. gallery! Get your official Kohlmeyer Circle "ticket" at Ogden After Hour - don't miss it!!

Go hang out at City Park this evening for The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series with Don Vappie!  The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out..so....it's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.

Tonight is the kick-off of Live at Lafreniere Park (3000 Downs Blvd.) at 6:00 pm with The Bucktown Allstars. They'll have the LSU game on a 9' x 12' video wall with plenty of frosty beverages and delicious food available. Look for the huge stage on the island, and the best part? . . .Admission is FREE!!! Kids and pets are welcome too!

Thursday Night Music

Head on over to your favorite bar to watch the game, or you can even watch the game with a little music too!

There's  fun on Frenchmen at the Maison (508 Frenchmen) with a triple header tonight with Those Peaches at 5:00 pm, watch the game and hang out for Gris Gris at 10:00 pm!

Spotted Cat Music Club (623 Frenchmen) has a triple header too with Brent Richardson at 4:00 pm, Miss Sophie Lee at 6:00 and celebrate the Tigers win with The New Orleans Moonshiners at 10:00 PM!!
