Let's see what's happenin' to kick off the Memorial Day weekend!
Well, if it's Memorial Day weekend it can only mean one thing...and that's Greek Fest (1200 Robert E. Lee Blvd.)....Come out and Experience Greece on the Bayou, the annual Hellenic party with a uniquely New Orleans flair! Join the fun for delicious food, delightful drinks, and entertainment the entire family will enjoy. (Entrance fee is only $5...and children under 12 get in FREE!) The fest runs all weekend, and tonight things get kickin' at 5:00 pm...Oh....and make sure you check out the ouzo daiquiri...it's a good one!
In the Bayou area?? Be sure to stop by the Pitot House (1440 Moss St.) for the Louisiana Landmarks Society and the New Orleans Nine Selection Committee for a reception for the release of The New Orleans Nine (9) Most Endangered Sites for 2010...the reception is from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. And if you're looking for a great little road trip...(it's really not that far)...You've got to go to the Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival, and support Louisiana's local fisherman...There's gonna be delicious food (of course), music, crafts and more!!
