Thursday Tales!!!!

Good Morning Everybody,

So much going on this Thursday...what's happenin' today??  Cocktails it's what's goin' on!!

It's the TALES OF THE COCKTAIL 2011 NATIVE SPIRITS PREVIEW PARTY this afternoon from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm tonight at the The Carousel Bar @ Hotel Monteleone!! All New Orleanians are invited to this complimentary event being held at the Hotel Monteleone's Carousel Bar. Tales is giving locals a small taste of this summer's festivities with the Native Spirits Preview Party. This complimentary event at the legendary Carousel Bar is open to all New Orleanians to come sip some well-crafted cocktails, mingle with the Tales of the Cocktail® team and learn about the all Spirited Dinners, evening events, seminars and competitions that are in store during the five-day feast of all things alcohol!!!  Click on the above link for all things cocktail and all the fun events!!

Don't miss out on the weekly wine tasting at Cork and Bottle (3700 Orleans) about 5:00 pm in Mid-City and tasting is free!!  And be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more! 

Need a little culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art - better known as Ogden after Hours.  The concert starts up at 6:00 pm. with singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jimbo Mathus ....so come on down for some music, culture and fun....don't miss it!!

Go hang out at City Park this evening for The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series for Chip Wilson and Jesse Moore.  The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out..so....it's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.

Are you hungry for some great music, dancing and food....then head on over to Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal) from 6:00 to 8:00 for a swing dance lesson.  At 8:00 it is time to show off your new moves at the Social Dance with Tuba Skinny featuring Erika Lewis (dance lessons $5 - band cover $8).....see you tonight for some dancing !!!
