Music Factory, Symphonies and Threadheads!!!

Good Morning Everybody,

So much to do....so little time...let's get going!!

Okay start off your day at the Louisiana Music Factory (201 Decatur) for their annual in-store Jazz Fest concerts...here's the line-up for today!!  Click on the link above for the complete Fest line-up

  • Delfeayo Marsalis at 8:00 PM
    While you're in the Quarter head on over La Belle Galerie (309 Chartres) from 4:00 to 8:00 pm for their Jazz Fest Kick-Off Party with The annual celebration features:
    • The Revealers
    • Rebirth Brass Band
    • The Revolution Steppers and more!!
    And head on down to City Park early because there's two amazing events happening this evening!!

    It's the LPO Swing in the Oaks starting up 5:30pm on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn....Join City Park and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra for the annual LPO program!  At 5:30 p.m. it's the British Band of New Orleans and at 6:30 p.m. it's the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra!  Be sure to bring chairs, your picnic basket and blankets. Concessions available for purchase and it's FREE!

    It's also Threadhead Thursday this evening for with an, only New Orleans line-up:  Shamar Allen and the Underdawgs, Ensemble Fatien, Alex McMurray Band, New Orleans Nightcrawlers and Paul Sanchez and the Rolling Road Show!!  Gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm and goes to 11:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden at the Robert B. Haspel Outdoor Garden Stage...Admission is FREE and there will be concessions available for purchase...be sure to bring your chairs and blankets!!

    Don't worry if you're not headed to City Park there's more music and more culture!  You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art - better known as Ogden after Hours.  The concert starts up at 6:00 pm. with Preservation Hall Hot 5: Ben Jaffe, Clint Maedgen, Rickie Monie, Charlie Gabriel and Joe Lastie ....so come on down for some music, culture and fun....don't miss it!!
