Bunnies, and Markets and Music...OH MY!!!

Good Morning Everybody,

Hope you're having a great weekend!!  Lots of Easter Saturday events today...what's goin' on??

If you're looking for your last minute Easter gifts then be sure to head on over to the Palmer Park Arts Market!!  There are all sorts of pre-Easter events going on today!  The fun starts up at 10 am with an Easter Egg Hunt filled with treats and surprises at the Kids Tent.  After the Easter egg hunt head back to the Kids Tent for The Hippety-Hoppety Rabbit Magic Show at 10:30 am. Children can make Faux Faberge Eggs, the craft project of the day, after the show. In the Music Tent Tony Green & Gypsy Jazz performs at 1:00 p.m., followed by traditional jazz from Some Like it Hot! at 2:30 p.m.  It's gonna be a great day to hang out in the Park, celebrate Easter and get your special someone that amazing gift!

And there's more markets!!  Check out the new Piety Street Market at the Old Ironworks on 612 Piety (just off Chartres) today from noon to 5:00 pm!!  There's gonna be plenty of art, crafts, vintage, flea, live music and great food!!

And passing by the Market will be the 4th Annual Goodchildren Easter Parade line-up starts at Poland and St. Claude for 1:00 pm and the parade gets rolling at 2:00 pm it's the "Year of the Rabbit" and marchers will detour from St. Claude Avenue to celebrate Easter at Old Ironworks.  It's gonna be loads of good times with King Al "Carnival Time" Johnson and Queen Tee Eva and her fabulous Baby Dolls will reign over the parade, which features the Goodchildren Band, Burning Spear Mardi Gras Indians, 504 Dancing Man and more than a dozen marching krewes, from the Bearded Oysters and Big Easy Roller Girls to NOLA Pyrates and the Guardian Angels, along with Goodchildren's signature hand-decorated doll throws.

After all the marketing....be sure to get your groove on in the French Quarter today at the Lousiana Music Factory (210 Decatur) with three in-store concerts today starting at 3:00 pm with the Creole Syncopators, at 4:00 pm it's Chief Juan Pardo and rounding out the fun Tony Green hits the stage at 5:00 pm!  Don't forget to grab your beer discount coupons on the counter and to buy lots of Louisiana local music while you're there!!

This evening get your bunny gear on for the NOLA BUNARCHY hop starting up at 7:00 pm throughout the Marigny and the Quarter!!  NOLA BUNARCHY is a bar hop around the Marigny and French Quarter neighborhoods. Hundreds of bunnies hop from bar to bar to raise money for Animal rescue charities.
