Hoppy Easter!!!

Hoppy Easter Everybody!!

Eat your chocolate bunny and check out to all the Easter fun in NOLA!!

You can't celebrate Easter withoug an Easter Egg Hunt....so head on down to City Park at 11:00 am to the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park!!!  This is for the kiddies 6 and older at the Amusement Park and 5 and under at Storyland. 10,000 eggs will be stuffed with candy, toys, and more! In amusements there will be two eggs with a family season pass ticket, 4 eggs with unlimited ride armbands, and 10 eggs with single ride tickets. In Storyland, one egg wiil have a family season pass, 4 eggs with unlimited ride armbands, and 10 eggs with single ride tickets.  There's also gonna be photos with the Easter Bunny in Storyland until 2pm. The Fairy Godmother will be at the Storyland Castle with entertainment and crafts from 1:00 -4:30 pm with the Storyland Theatrical Players.

And of course you got parades!!

It's  the 28th Annual Chris Owens French Quarter Easter Parade today at 1:00 p.m...., but you can start celebrating early at at the Astor Crowne Hotel Ballroom at 11:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast, a Hat Contest and entertainment. Riders will then hop on the floats at 1:00 p.m. and ride through the French Quarter. The parade route will start at Canal and Bourbon Street, continue down Bourbon Street to St. Phillip, and turn up to Decatur and back up to Canal to the Astor Crowne Hotel. At the end of the parade, revelers can enjoy a champagne brunch while dancing to Jake and the Nifty 50's!!!

And never fear...if you're pursuit of Easter fun includes more parading....you've got more parades!! 

The 12th Gay Easter Parade rolls today at 4:30 pm on Rampart and St. Ann winding through the French Quarter. The parade route is N. Rampart to St. Ann, to Bourbon, to Esplanade, to Royal, to St. Louis, to N. Rampart, to Toulouse, to Burgundy, ending at Orleans.  The parade benefits Food For Friends, a vital program of the NO/AIDS Task Force.  The parade will have 41 units including two bands making this the largest Gay Easter Parade ever!!!  You don't want to miss the fun!!

After all your Easter fun be sure to cheer on our Hornets at 8:30 pm...it ain't over 'til it's over GEAUX HORNETS!!!
