Good Morning Everybody,

It was another crowded Wednesday at the Square last night, and another fun show.  I'm not quite sure how much of the band I actually saw, but it was a fun evening to hang out with old friends!

Now on to Thursday...for some of the lucky bunch today is the start of your is for me, and I'm happy!!

Thursday Events

Need a little culture and music?  You gotta go to the show at Ogden after Hours this evening starting up at 6:00 pm.    You'll get to check out the North Mississippi Blues music of Cedric Burnside, grandson of the blues legend R.L. Burnside...this promises to be an excellent come on down to the Ogden for some music, culture and fun! (remember if you get there early - go grab a cocktail at the Circle Bar on Lee's of the best happy hours in town!)

Need to get your gambling on and want to eat some crawfish too?  Join Harrah's on Fulton Square this Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm for Bugs, Buds and Bands with Nathan and the Zydeco Cha-Chas!!  Enjoy music, beer, and crawfish "with all the fixin's" with special deals for Harrah's Total Rewards members.

Want to hang out in the park this evening??  No problem.  The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series is going on featuring Tom McDermott & Evan Christopher.  The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.

Craving some more crawfish and don't want to gamble?  Not a problem....There's some waiting for you at the one and only historical Mother-in-Law Lounge tonight - starting at 6:00 pm and rolling on 'til 10:00.  The Funk'n Blues'n Crawfish experience continues tonight with Ernie Vincent and the Top Notes and fresh CRAWFISH by Shaggy's Boil....Now this a great way to spend the evening!!

Want to pub hop? (literally, is Easter time).  Then the NOLA Bunarchy Pub Crawl will take care of your pub crawlin' needs and funds go to a great cause, the Louisiana SPCA.  The hop kicks off at MIMI's at 8pm then off to YUKI at 9pm Dragons Den at 10pm Aunt Tiki's at 11pm and final stop at One Eyed Jacks at 12am.  Passes for the event will be $10 and gets you cover and drink specials at all stops.  Passes are available at FUNROCK'N and PopCity 930 Decatur and at all stops.  Now this sounds like a hoppin' good time!!!

And besides all that....there's usual Thursday nite fun stuff.  If I can stay up late enough...I'll be hitting the Kermit Ruffins show at Vaughn's...cause there ain't nothin' more New Orleans than Vaughn's on a Thursday night!!!

If you need more fun check out the Offbeat music listings and have a great April Fools Day!!
