Pre-Jazz Fest Friday

Good Morning Everybody,

It's hard to believe, but one week from today is opening day of Jazz Fest.  Can't wait to get there early so I can watch the gates open and see the die hards grab that special real estate in front of their favorite stage!!  (hey...i got to get my blanket on my special spot too!!)

But we got a whole week before that what's going on today?

You can start off your Friday right by tuning into WWOZ 90.7 or from 11 am to 2 pm for the Louisiana Music Party with Bill deTurk!

Peters St. from 5:30pm-8pm (registration)...then off to Dino's Bar & Grill, 1128 Tchoupitoulas St. from 8pm-9pm...continue the party at the Rusty Nail, 1100 Constance St. 9pm-10pm and finish the party at Ugly Dog Saloon, 401 Andrew Higgins St.10pm-11pm.  (then take a cab home ;)

If you're hanging in the Quarter and want to hear some music and check out New Orleans history...head down to the Historic New Orleans Collection for their Courtyard Concert!  The spring series, which is sponsored by AOS, continues with a performance from Preservation Hall Hot 4 and selections from Covington Brewhouse beers.
