Mercredi avec Vino, Bon Anniversaire pour Edgar et Beaucoup Musique!

Wednesday Events!

Bastille Day may be over, but the The French Party continues with Edgar Degas' Birthday Celebration - today at The Degas House (2306 Esplanade Ave.). Head on over early for Happy Hour Entry from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm for $10 which includes one drink ticket for: an Absinthe Cocktail, French Vodka Cocktail, St. Germain Sparkling Cocktail or the Lillet Cocktail.......And from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm $15 entry includes 2 drink tickets from the tasty drinks above! Music performed French Parlor style by Les Ensembles Jazz et Classique and for more lovely drinks the Foundation Bar will be available! See you there and Bon Anniversaire Edgar!

And there's more celebrating with a complimentary wine tasting at Chef Chris Cody's new restaurant, Dijon (1379 Annunciation St.), from  5:30 to 7 p.m. (and repeating on Wednesdays through the end of the month). Wednesdays on the Point concert series keeps on kickin' today in Algiers and runs through July 25th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and of course, admission is FREE...Tonight head to the Algiers Ferry Dock (200Morgan St.) for some Funk and Rock with The Brass-a-Holics and Melomania - remember you can take the ferry over for free - it's a beautiful ride across the river!  Click the above link for complete concert series info!

There's great music this evening on Frenchmen Street tonight at d.b.a. (618 Frenchmen) catch the early show at 7:00 pm with The Tin Men,  and it's Walter "Wolfman" Washington at 10:00 pm - cover's only $5.00!

The Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) has an afternoon and evening filled with music!!  Ben Polcer at 4:00, The Orleans 6 at 6:00 pm and top off the night with St. Louis Slim and The Frenchmen St. Jug Band!
