Crabs, Hot Sauce and Music!!

Hope you've been having a most excellent weekend!

It's the last day of the Lacombe Crab Fest (Hwy 190 and N 12th Street) with yummy food, fun rides and check out the music schedule!

It's the second day for the best and brightest of the Hot Sauce and Gourmet Food community will be displaying and sampling their award winning products right here in the heart of Hot Sauce Country – the place where people sure know their food. There’s gonna be party going on down here!!!! With the Saints winning the Super Bowl, the Who Dat Nation is alive and kickin’ so come join the food and fun at the 1st Annual NOLA Hot Sauce and Gourmet Food Show.  There will be products to suite everyone.  If you want to take on the hottest thing you have ever tried, this will be the place for you ranging from sauces and other products made from the hottest pepper in the world to flaming hot extracts, come give it a try – if you dare. We will also have BBQ sauces, dip mixes, seasonings, soup and Cajun mixes and so much more.  Tickets are just $5.00 and the fest goes on from 9:00 to 5:00 pm at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner....AYEEEEEEEEE.!!!!

Today be sure to check ou the 10th Independence Day Music Festival  for the Trinity Concert Series (1329 Jackson Ave.) from 3:00 to 6:00 pm with over 100 patriotic performers!!  This year's festival will feature color guard, procession of Veterans, rousing patriotic music by John Philip Sousa, and other favorite American composers performed by the NAVY BAND, at 3 pm; The Pfister Sisters, at 4 pm, the Crescent City Big Band, at 5 pm, Albinas Prizgintas, organist, on the magnificent 5000 pipes Trinity organ, (one of the organs jewel of the South!) throughout the concert afternoon....the Duo Father and Son Albinas & Albinas Jehan & Friends between 4:30 at 5:00 pm, the Choir of Trinity Church, Wall Street (NYC), between 4:15 and 4:30 pm,The Yellowdog Prophet Choir between 4:30 pm and 5 pm, Dancer/Grand Marshal Jennifer Jones will lead a second line...before 6 pm....and who knows what other surprises...everyone is invited to a reception at the end of the program (around or soon after 6 pm !)
