You are cordially invited to the Unveiling and Signing of "Coastal Paradise" created by local artist Tuna tonight with celebrity bartenders Zach Streif and Mike McKenzie from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Davenport Lounge at the Ritz Carlton (921 Canal St. - complimentary parking for up to 3 hours with a purchase)! 100% of the proceeds from EVERY print sold will be donated to Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation's Save Our Coast Program to fund coastal restoration. Signed copies are available for $250...unsigned for $35. If you can't make it to the event prints will be available at all First Bank and Trust locations!
It's a big show at the Ogden this evening!! The Ogden Southern Museum of Art better known as Ogden after Hours starts up at 6:00 pm with Alvin Youngblood Hart..........proclaimed the "Cosmic American Love Child of Howlin' Wolf and Link Wray," this acclaimed blues/R and B guitarist will be playing a solo show!! So come on down for some music, culture, fun and the "O" bar will be serving some yummy margaritas!! (remember if you get down there early - go grab a cocktail at the Circle Bar on Lee's Circle...one of the best happy hours in town!)
You can also go hang out at City Park this evening for The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series with Albinas Prizgintas and the Yellow Dog Prophet Choir! The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out..so....it's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.
Come on down this evening to the Maison Frenchmen on Frenchmen Street (of course) tonight at 7:00 pm for the Grill Out Chill Out with Jacid! Bar patrons can load up on loads of yummy grilled meats, veggies and who knows what else.....be sure and stay on for the Red Dog CD release party at 8:00 pm and The Abney Effect at 9:00 pm!
And make sure not to miss Tipitina's (501 Napoleon) Gulf Coast Benefit tonight....doors open at 8:00 pm and the show starts up at 9:00 pm! Tips Along with venues nationwide....show support and benefit the fishermen and wildlife of the Gulf Coast!!
