Wine, Birthdays and Free Drinks!

Morning Everybody...It's Friday - What's happenin'??

Get your evening started off right with a little wine tasting and art opening at Swirl (3143 Ponce de Leon) with the Friday Free for All from 6 to 8:00 pm.   Geoff Worden from Wines Unlimited is bringing 4 special old world favorites and Chef Dan Esses is back dishing out his delicious $5 tapas plates!

It's a Threadhead Friday night at Chickie Wah Wah  with Paul Sanchez at 8:00 pm for a super fun evening!  And I know there's gonna be some yummy food too!!

You really need to head down to BJs (4301 Burgundy) tonite for the BIG birthday celebration in honor of Little Freddie King it's his 70th Birthday Bash and things will get rolling about 9:00 pm...don't miss it....GOTTA CELEBRATE WITH DA KING!!

If you're thinking about heading down to Frenchmen Street...there's lot of music to hear!

d.b.a.'s (618 Frenchmen) has two bands tonight that will get you up and dancing...you got the Hot Club of New Orleansat 6:00 and stay on for Good Enough for Good Times at 10:00 pm!

Right down the street you have another trio of shows at BMC (1331 Decatur)...with Sasha Masakowski at 7:00 pm, Fredy Omar con su Banda at 10:30 pm, Medianoche International at 1:00 am...(hey, now it's Saturday mornin'!)

Head on down to the Maison (508 Frenchmen) at 7:30 for Some Like it Hot...and you'll appreciate the great drinks and the NO COVER!!!  And head on up to the Maison Penthouse for Shakedown Dance.....you'll find a dance party with some of the freshest DJs in the city spinning jams.  It's always free....and there will be FREE drinks for the ladies from 10:00 to-11:00 p.m.....AND there will also be FREE shots for everyone in the room at midnight and 1:00 a.m.!!

And for those of you hanging out Uptown don't forget it's Free Fridays at Tipitina's (504 Napoleon Ave.) with the Honey Island Swamp Band and special guests The Tangle...show starts up about 10ish....you can't miss this show!
