Another Rainy Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday Everybody,

Just wondering when this rain is gonna leave us, but there's lots of good stuff going on today!!

You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!!!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 to 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even get some lunch!  Surrey's Cafe' is providing some yummy lunch under the GPS tent. Come by for gazpacho, soft corn or flour tortillas, mole de guajolote (house-smoked turkey breast with mole), cochinita pibil con cebollas encurtidas (achiote-marinated pork slow-roasted in banana leaves, served with pickled onions), pollo con salsa de tomatillo (grilled chicken with tomatillo sauce), grilled vegetable and cheese with roasted tomato salsa, black beans with Mexican rice, chips with pico de gallo, chips with guacamole, and Surrey’s Combination Plate ($8.50) - 2 tacos, black beans & rice, and guacamole with chips....now that sounds delicious!

This evening there's lot of fun stuff going on....

For more music fun....come on down to Chickie Wah Wah on Canal Street to enjoy the amazing John Mooney!!  Music starts about 8:00 pm, but come early to get a good seat.

You can also head on over to Bullet's Sports Bar (2441 AP Tureaud) at about 8:30ish and get down to the sounds of Kermit Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers...there's really no better place to spend your Tuesday night and have a few drinks to celebrate!

If you're lookin' for some Rockin' and Bowlin' and some good food too...Have some dinner over at Ye Olde College Inn..where you'll get some yummy food and a discounted ticket to Rock 'N Bowl...right next door!!  It's Brint Anderson's tribute to Snooks Eaglin tonight...and the show gets kickin' about 8:30 pm.

For your late night evening pleasure you need to go by the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street...for the REBIRTH!!  You'll be glad you stayed up late!

Have a wonderful Tuesday and for more fun shows and events going on click on the WWOZ Livewire link!
