John Mooney at the "O" and So Much More!

Happy Thursday,

Yea!!! It's finally getting cool (again) and feeling like Fall!!

Don't miss out on the weekly wine tasting at Cork and Bottle (3700 Orleans) at about 5:00 pm in Mid-City and tasting is free...check out their amazing wines!!  And be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more!  And stay on 'til 7:00 pm for Johnny Sansone at Clever Wine Bar...three fun things all at one place!!

Head on down to The Ogden Southern Museum of Art today for Ogden after Hours.   Music starts up at 6:00 pm with the talented John Mooney.....and to top it off the very talented Bill deTurk is doing the interview today, so you don't want to miss it!!  (and remember if you get down there early - go grab a cocktail at the Circle Bar on Lee's Circle...one of the best happy hours in town!)

It's a Coats for Kids Benefit Concert tonight at the St. Louis Cathedral at 7:30 pm..... The Faubourg Quartet presents a collection of its members' most beloved favorites, a fun and eclectic mix of varied genres, including tango, blues, jazz (composition by New Orleans native son, Wynton Marsalis), as well as some of the most beautiful works of Schumann, Mendelssohn, and Dvorak. And as a special treat, you will not want to miss Jeremy Davenport, as he joins the Faubourg Quartet in their finale, Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World"!   Admission is free, but please bring a coat for a needy child.

Chickie Wah Wah has a great show tonight with John Boutte' at 8:00 pm...There's also going to be a big birthday celebreation for Nancy O tonight....so head on over for some great drinks, yummy food and give Nancy some birthday hugs!!

It's gonna be a fun evening at d.b.a. (618 Frenchmen)with two great shows!!  Come for the early show at 7:00 pm with piano player extraordinairre Jon Cleary...and you really don't want to miss Egg Yolk Jubilee at 10:00 pm...you'll be dancing the night away!

There's a triple header over at the Spotted Cat (623  Frenchmen) with Brett Richardson at  4:00 pm, a SMOKE FREE LIVE BROADCAST on WWOZ with Miss Sophie Lee at 6:00 pm and close out the night with the The New Orleans Moonshiners at 10:00 pm!!!
