A Tuesday at the Market and Music!

Good Morning All - Let's see what's going on today!

Special Events Today!

You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!!!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 to 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even grab some lunch!  November brings Ann Churchill of Karma Kitchen to the Green Plate Special tent.  We're super excited to try the Khmer pumpkin curry soup, lemongrass pork patties over Malaysian coconut rice, shiitake mushrooms and cabbage, Asian slaw and carrot cake cupcakes with candied ginger white chocolate frosting......yummy!!

The Trinity Artist Series continues tonight at Trinity Episcopal Church (1329 Jackson Ave.) with "Organ & Labyrinth" with Albinas Prizgintas on the 5000 pipe Trinity tracker organ. The program includes some of the greatest music ever written ranging from Classical Baroque to vintage rock and popular tunes. The concert is from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and it's FREE!

Good Music Tonight!

It's gonna be a beautiful evening to hang out at the The Columns (3811 St. Charles Ave.)...Have a cocktail and listen to the classic jazz trio reunion of John Rankin, Tom Sancton, and Tom Fischer! One guitar and two clarinets prove that there's no such thing as too much clarinets!

There's some fun on Frenchmen tonight over at d.b.a. (618 Frenchmen) with the Treme Brass Band at 9:00 pm - there's a $5 cover, but this show is definitely worth the dinero!

Right down the street the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) has a triple header with no cover - Brett Richardson at 4:00 pm, Smokin' Time Jazz Club at 6:00 pm and top off the evening with Meschiya Lake & The Little Big Horns at 10:00 pm!

End your night over at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street...with  the REBIRTH Brass Band they come on around 10:30ish - there's a cover, but you'll be glad you paid and stayed up late!!
