Go Fourth and Celebrate!!

Happy Independence Day!!

Celebrate with fun patriotic good stuff all over the place!

The 33rd Annual Mandeville Seafood Festival continues today at  Fontainebleu State Park with food, music, carnival rides, and fireworks tonight at 8:45 pm!  Tickets are only $10 if you arrive before 5:00 pm!!  ($15 thereafter) - Check out tonight's musical line-up!

And of course it's Go Fourth on the River along the Riverfront from the French Market to the Riverwalk Marketplace!

7:30 - The Navy Band - Rock Concert

French Market Schedule:

4:00-5:15 p.m. Tornado Brass Band
5:30-6:30 p.m. Navy Band New Orleans Full Ceremonial Band
7:15-8:45 p.m. Amanda Shaw & The Cute Guys

And of course the Dueling Barges Fireworks Extravaganza choreographed to patriotic music at 9:00 pm!!

And of course you can always go across the River to Algiers Point for a very special Monday on the Point (200 Morgan St. at the Levee) for some July 4th fun!!   Enjoy music from The Stooges Brass Band, Lil Red and Big Bad Blues Band, and Bonerama - the concert starts up at 5:00 pm and goes until 9:00 - and you can see the Dueling Barges Fireworks Extravaganza from the Best Bank!!!

If you're celebrating in Slidell - no worries you can have some patriotic fun too!  It's the Slidell Heritage Festival at Heritage Park (1701 Bayou Lane) - Gates open at 3:00 pm.   There's gonna be food, an art show, children's activities and lots of music and fireworks over Bayou Bonfouca!  Check out the music schedule!

Admission is $7 and free for children under 12 - Proceeds benefit local charities!
