Concerts at the Cathedral and Mo' Monday Fun!!

Good Morning on this very cold Monday...but this is the perfect kind of weather to get you into that Christmasy kind of mood!!  Check out all the fun free stuff going on today!!

Christmas New Orleans Style sets in to gear today with theCathedral Christmas Concerts from December 1-23 at the St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square!!  Local choirs and New Orleans artists herald in the season with nightly concerts of Christmas carols and gospel favorites in one of the country's most historic churches. Concerts start at 6pm and last about one hour. FREE and open to the public.

The Inn on Bourbon (541 Bourbon) continues it's free screeninngs on the 1st Monday of the month with the Princess and the Frog!!  The series is made possible by the New Orleans Lyceum, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to adult learning. Head over to Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal) for an amazing evening of music with Spencer Bohren at 7:00 pm...if you've never heard this amazing singer/songwriter you don't know what you're missing....you have to check it out!!

Stick around Mid-City and go on over to the Banks Street Bar & Grill for the N'Awlins Johnnys at 9:00 pm and some free red beans and rice for your Monday night!

If you're looking for a new place to check out some great food and music....head on over to Three Muses (536 Frenchmen)...tonight Kristin Diable hosts the New Orleans Singer Songwriters Night at 7:00 pm!

Enjoy this lovely evening around the fire at The Columns....They've got David Doucet from BeauSoleil fame, and while you're enjoying the sounds be sure to have an adult beverage to warm you on up!

If you're lookin' for some bluegrass music tonight you don't have to go too far to find it....Check out the Hi Ho Lounge (2239 St. Claude) and the Bluegrass Pickin' Party at 8:00 pm...there's no cover and FREE red beans at this show too!

If you love amazing burritos and great music, then BJ's Lounge (4301 Burgundy) is the place for you, because they have one mean burrito, and the incredible sounds of King James & the Special Men...the fun starts up at 10:00 pm!!!

Be sure to make a stop by the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) early for this great line-up of music....Brett Richardson at 4:00 pm, Dominic Grillo and The Frenchmen Street All Stars at 6:00 pm and be sure to stay on for the Jazz Vipers at 10:00 pm.....it's sure to be another smokin' Monday evening show.
