TGIF and CD Releasin' Friday!!

Morning Everybody...It's Friday - What's happenin'??

Get your wine on this evening with a little tasting at Swirl (3143 Ponce de Leon) with the Friday Free for All from 6 to 8:00 pm.  Join Gina Warren from Glazer's tonight for 4 new wines from Argentina and Chile!

Be sure to check out the big Happy Hour this evening at Chickie Wah Wah  with Wilson & Moore at 5:30 p.m. and be sure to stay on for the trad roots/rock fusion sounds of the Kelcy Mae Band at 8:00 pm for a super fun evening!  Don't forget to come hungry for some yummy food!

There's some double fun going on at the House of Blues and HOB Parish tonight....In the HOB main room you've got the A CD release Party for Big "Al" Carson and the Blues Masters...doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts up around 8ish or so....Check out this line-up: Lindsay Mendez and the Back Seat Drivers, Waylon Thibodeaux, Big Daddy 'O', and of course...Big "Al" Carson and the Blues Masters!!  Then in the Parish you've got The Help and the CD release party for Dash Rip Rock...show starts up around 10ish!  It's the HOB so there will be a cover, but you may want to splurge on this one tonight!

If you're thinking about heading down to Frenchmen Street...there's lot of music to hear!

d.b.a.'s (618 Frenchmen) has two bands tonight that will get you up and dancing...you got the The Hot Club of New Orleans (with no cover - but please tip the band :) at 6:00 and stay on for Funkifry'd at 10:00 pm!

Right down the street you have another trio of shows at BMC (1331 Decatur)...with Sasha Masakowski at 7:00 pm, Fredy Omar con su Banda at 10:30 pm, We are One Brass Band at 1:00 am...(hey, now it's Saturday mornin'!)

And you can catch another triple header over at the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) with Brett Richardson at 4:00 pm, Washboard Chaz Blues Trio at 6:00 pm and to top off the evening The New Orleans Cottonmouth Kings at 10:00 pm!

And for those of you hanging out Uptown don't forget it's Free Fridays at Tipitina's (504 Napoleon Ave.) this Friday with the Joe Krown Trio featuring Walter "Wolfman" Washington & Russell Batiste and Billy Iuso & Restless Natives...show starts up about 10ish!
