Good Morning Everybody, Happy Pre-St. Patrick's Day and Erin go braugh!
Kick off your Irish festivities a little early and head on out to St. Alphonsus Church (2025 Constance) in the Irish Channel for Fun Under the Frescoes - Irish Extravaganza - the concert begins at 6:00 pm with the Crescent City Celtic Band plus the McTeggart Irish Dancers! Beverages are generously provided by Gordon Biersch, The Boondock Saint and Vino Wholesale. Admission is $10 and includes three complimentary beverages and a $25 membership (per person) gets you a free pass to the entire concert series! (no worries - we'll be kicking the series back up in the Fall!)

**St. Alphonsus Catholic Church was built in 1855 to serve the needs of the Irish Catholic immigrants who began settling in the neighborhood in the 1840s. In 1979, the church was closed. After a continuing fall into decline, FOSA was formed in 1990; in 1996, the building was declared a National Historic Landmark. With glorious, yet deteriorating, ceiling frescoes and stained glass windows over a century old, the building is breathtakingly beautiful and has been featured in several movies… and the acoustics rock! Fun Under the Frescoes with Paul Sanchez - Tonight at St. Alphonsus!
Happy Wednesday!!
Tonight is the night!! The Friends of Saint Alphonsus presents the highly anticipated second season of the Fun Under the Frescoes concert series at St. Alphonsus Church (2025 Constance St.) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm!
The series kicks off on November 14th re-living the magic of the premiere show of our series, with Irish Channel native Paul Sanchez with special guest Arsene DeLay!
Tickets are $10 and include 3 complimentary beverages (which includes craft beer, Jameson, margaritas and Pinot Grigio!!) Memberships starting at $25 include admission to every concert!
Don't forget to come hungry - Ms. Linda the Ya-Ka-Mien Lady will be serving up some delicious food too!

The beautiful harmonies of the Pfister Sisters resonate for our holiday show on December 12th.
One-of-a-kind New Orleans troubadour Philip Melancon brings unparalleled wit and talent to our January 9th “phil”harmonic.
Celebrating the rich history of St. Alphonsus, the series culminates on March 13th with an Irish extravaganza featuring the Crescent City Celtic Band and the McTeggart Irish Dancers.
In addition, beverages will be provided by sponsors including Gordon Biersch, Nacho Mama’s, the Boondock Saint and Vino Wholesale. A big thanks to the New Orleans Hash House Harriers - Red Dress Run for their continued support!

Celebratin' Monday with a Little Erin Go Braugh & More!
Don't let the Saints loss get you down this rainy Monday - Just start celebrating St. Patrick's Day 6 months early!
Can you believe?? It's already halfway to St. Patrick's Day!! So go on and celebrate at Pat O'Brien's (718 St. Peter) with the Halfway to Saint Patrick's Day Party! Join the fun with live music, drink specials, Irish food, giveaways and a great time!
And while your down there head right across the street to the Boondock Saint (731 St. Peter) for some great drinks and free red beans and rice!
Keep the Irish fun going over at Kerry Irish Pub (331 Decatur) - it's an evening with Beth Patterson and Patrick O'Flaherty at 8:00 pm - Erin go Braugh!
Monday Night Music
And while your Uptown - Enjoy some cocktail porch sippin' over at the Columns Hotel (3811 St. Charles)....Tonight David Doucet of Beausoleil fame performs at 8:00 pm tonight!
Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal) has a great Monday night show with Phil DeGruy at 8:00 pm....and be sure to come hungry for some delicious pizza and other Italian goodness from Garage Pizza!
Lots of fun around Frenchmen Street!
BMC (1331 Decatur) has a great early show at 6:00 pm with Lil Red and Big Bad...then stay on for the next show at 9:30 with Smoky Greenwell's Blues Jam!!
Be sure to make a stop by the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) early for this great line-up of music...Sarah McCoy at 4:00 pm, Dominick Grillo and The Frenchmen Street All Stars at 6:00 pm and be sure to stay on for the Kristina Morales and the Bayou Shufflers at 10:00 pm!
And stop into Snug Harbor (626 Frenchmen) for one of the longest running performers in NOLA - It's Monday night with the Charmaine Neville Band at 8:00 pm - Yes, there's a cover, but Charmaine is worth every penny! While your there get a Monsoon (watch out their dangerous) and one of the best burgers in town!
To top off you're evening....you gotta go Uptown and over to the Maple Leaf (8316 Oak) for Papa Grows Funk at 10:00 pm - they'll get your Monday night funked up -remember there's a cover - but it's worth it!!!
