Happy Thursday with a Little Pnuts Party, Wine, and Great Music!

Come celebrate Little Pnuts 1st Birthday Party at Sucre (3025 Magazine) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.! They’ll be giving away 50 free cups of gelato, and a raffle to win a free year subscription of Little Pnuts! Melissa, the owner of Little Pnuts will also be selling some of her toys on-site. Wine Tasting and Fresh Food!

Don't miss out on the weekly wine tasting at Pearl Wine Co. (3700 Orleans) at about 5:00 pm in Mid-City. Come sample some delicious vinos and kick off your early weekend right with local winemaker, , Neil Gernon Free Wine Tasting with his Vending Machine Wines! Lionheart Foods will serve their Gourmet Grilled Cheese Bar from 4:30 to 9:30 pm.....and you can stop at Clever (right next door - don't even have to walk outside) for their happy hour specials after attending the free wine tasting!  Be sure to pass by the Crescent City Farmer's Market (right outside) and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more!!

Concerts!

Jazz in the Park Free Concert Series kicks off this evening in Armstrong Park! PUfAP is proud to present the 2013 second season of Jazz in the Park, inside of the historic Louis Armstrong Park. The events are FREE, with an art market from Noon to 8:00 p.m., cool Jazz from Noon to 3:00 p.m., Second Line begins at 4:00 p.m., and the afternoon music kicks off at 5:30 pm - Check out the great line-up of music below!

Go hang out at City Park this evening and enjoy music from Bon Operatit! for the Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series! Bon Operatit! consists of New Orleans opera singers Lauren Mouney Gisclair, Jesse Nolan, and Mary Penick Akin. From La Bohéme to Phantom of the Opera, they perform a perfect pairing of opera and musical theatre hits that are sure to invigorate the senses.. Gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out...$10 for adults.

Need a little art, culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art (925 Camp St.) - better known as Ogden after Hours. Tonight the Ogden presents Jaryd Lane. A native of Kaplan, Louisiana, Jaryd Lane is a self-taught musician who started performing gigs as a Freshman in high school. Jaryd’s roots are in country and alternative music drawing influences from musicians such as Bob Seger, Waylon Jennings, The Allman Brothers Band and Hootie and the Blowfish. This October, Jaryd and his band, Jaryd Lane and the Parish, will be opening for former Hootie and the Blowfish front man Darius Rucker in Lafayette at the Miles Perret Cancer Services Benefit concert. Don't miss out on this fabulous concert! *Remember with your Ogden membership all of these excellent concerts are FREE!!
