The 2011 HARVEST THE MUSIC CONCERT SERIES continues today!!!
The free concert series benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans & Acadiana....Every WEDNESDAY, through October 24 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at LAFAYETTE SQUARE!!
In addition to a free, weekly concert, concert-goers will enjoy food and drinks for purchase (no outside food or drinks, please) from local favorites including: Café Adelaide, CRÊPES À LA CART, Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar and Restaurant, Martin Wine Cellar, Metairie Deli/Bistro, Ms. Linda THE YA-KA-MEIN LADY, Oceana Grill, Squeal BAR-B-Q and Second Harvest Food Bank Community Kitchen. An artists' village will feature artwork and crafts from regional artists and designers, all available for purchase.

Tonight the celebration continues at 5:00 p.m. for the Candlelight Block Party-Robertson, Dumaine and St. Philip Streets. Check out performances from the Tremé Brass Band and more music from Judah Clan DJs!

Head on over to Frenchmen Street for a double header of music at d.b.a. (618 Frenchmen) - They've got an early show with the Tin Men at 7:00 pm, and be sure to stay on for Walter "Wolfman" Washington at 10:00 pm - there's a $5 cover, but you know the Wolfman is worth it!
Have fun in Mid-City when you head on over to Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal) for some happy hour drinks and stay on for Debbie Davis and Tom McDermott at 7:00 pm and stick around for The Geraniums at 9:30 - it's a great evening of music!
