It's another gorgeous Friday...Let's celebrate!!

Get your wine on this evening with a little tasting at Swirl (3143 Ponce de Leon) with the Friday Free for All from 6 to 8:00 pm....there's gonna be 4 free wines plus tapas from Chef Dan Esses' new restaurant, 3 Muses.   At the bar this week they'll be serving up some of Dan's empanadas, fresh pasta and more!!!

There's good stuff happenin' over in Gretna....where there's some great music and fun this evening!  It's Gretna's Rockin' on the River Concert Series from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm with the Rockin' Dopsie Jr. & the Zydeco Twisters.  Head on over to the River Front Amphitheater on Huey P Long Avenue at the intersection of First Street!!

The Historic New Orleans Collection’s (533 Royal) fall concert series continues on tonigth with a performance by Jason Marsalis and beverages from Southern Eagle distributor, including Avia Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay and Heiner Brau beer....Concerts in the Courtyard offer budget-friendly opportunities to enjoy a favorite New Orleans artist and cocktail in a beautiful courtyard setting.  Show:is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Admission is $10, free for THNOC members*, and includes 3 complimentary beverages.  **Memberships begin at the low low price of $35.00 per household!!

Put on your chicken hat and head on down to the Final Oktoberfest at Deutsches Haus (200 S. Galvez)...this fun festival starts up at 4:00 pm today and is going on each weekend from Sept. 24- October 23...Admission: $8, Children 12 & under Free....The Deutsches Haus opens Oktoberfest for the final time at the original location in Mid City.  Enjoy great German food, drink, and music...come do the Chicken Dance!!!

TGIF at Chickie Wah Wah (2828 Canal) tonight!!!  for Happy Hour with stop by Chickie's for happy hour with Johnny J and Gary Hirstius at 5:00 pm, have some delicious dinner outside, stick around for Paul Sanchez and then a little country with Susan Gibson....It's gonna be a fantastic show....so come support those Threadheads!
