Tonight Tonight!! Nine Lives: A Musical Story of New Orleans 7:00 pm at Dixon Hall - Tulane University. Dan Baum's bestseller, and this year's Tulane Reading Project book, Nine Lives: Mystery, Magic, Death, and Life in New Orleans, has been adapted into a musical, featuring a star-studded cast of local musicians and actors.

Written by Paul Sanchez and Colman DeKay, the Nine Lives concert is based on the 2-CD musical adaptation of the bestselling book of the same name. With music as joyous, eccentric, tragic, and hopeful as the city that inspired it, songs range from traditional jazz, blues, and Mardi Gras Indian chants, to chamber music, soul, brass band, and hip hop, performed by artists chosen from the 100-plus musicians and singers who appeared on the CD.

Featuring Shamarr Allen, Bryan Batt (TV's Mad Men), Mark Braud (Preservation Hall Jazz Band), Arsène DeLay, Debbie Davis (Pfister Sisters), Craig Klein (Bonerama), Vatican Lokey, Alex McMurray (Tin Men), and many more.
*This event is FREE and open to the public.  Doors open at 6:00 pm - get there early for a good seat.
