A Spooky Saturday with double the Voodoo & Haunted NOLA Fun!!

Happy Halloween Weekend!!  Boo!!

Of course, Halloween weekend in New Orleans means one thing and you know that's the Voodoo Experience over in City Park!

GratisNOLA's picks of the day include:  Iris May Tango at 12:15 over at the WWOZ stage, Chris Thomas King at 2:45 (you probably remember him from "O Brother Where Art Thou" fame)at the Preservation Hall Stage and Ozomatli  at 3:15 (they are amazing  latin, hip hop, percussion!!) over at the WWOZ stage, and X with Exene Cervenka at 7:00 at the Bingo Parlor Stage and of course at the big Voodoo Stage you've got Social Distortion at 5:45 pm, Snoop Dogg at 7:15 pm and Blink-182 closes out the stage at 9:00 pm....For more info and complete schedule of Voodoo events click on the link....http://thevoodooexperience.com/2011/

After Voodoo celebrate more Voodoo with The Faubourg St. John Neighborhood Association's 22nd Annual Voodoo on the Bayou celebration which will be held on the grounds of The Historic Pitot House. The event has live music by "Los Po-Boy-Citos" and the New Orleans sounds of "Lips & the Trips". There's gonna be an open bar, food from some of New Orleans most beloved restaurants including Café Degas, Santa Fe, Nonna Mia and Angelo Brocato's...and an amazing silent auction! Tickets are $40 in advance ($50 at the door the night of the event) and available at:
